The fish are very MCM stylized in a chartreuse and burgundy. The burgundy is painted over the chartreuse which can be translucent at times. It says on back sides Chinatown L. Marked on undersides Made in California.

Assuming unmarked Virginia Ann ceramics. Good condition; no cracks or chips. Pepper shaker: some small red dots on chartreuse on left side. Etched like spots on the burgundy glaze in tail; made that way.

Marked in black near back Chinatown L. A dimple in the base on left side edge. Flaws in glaze on both.

Salt shaker: Pottery glaze clump on underside, both have shelf wear. No crazing; unusual for most that come up seem to have a form of crazing.

If there is, it's almost invisible. Measures 1 5/8" X 3".
