Vintage Wool Horsehide Hercules Barnstormer Mackinaw 30s Salt Pepper Half Belt M
Absolutely incredible and rare 1920s-1930s Wool Mackinaw Barnstormer Jacket likely made by Hercules for Sears. The jacket is a heavy welted wool salt and pepper, with all of the accents in a heavy black horsehide leather. This jacket is truly in mint condition and if it werent for the slight musty odor, you may think it were new. Its in exceptional condition with very few small repairs, and no cracking or flaking in the horsehide.
I havent moisturized the leather but I suspect if you did it would wake it right up for another 100 years of use. This jacket fits very much like a modern tailored medium, chest size 40 or so, on the slim side. Pit to Pit jacket buttoned and laid flat: 22.75. Length from collar back in back to bottom of jacket hem : 36.5.
Shoulder seam to sleeve end: 26.5. I wear a modern medium size 38-40 jacket and this jacket fits me perfectly.
