4 e 5 hole in each Foo Dog at over the head as pictured. Cork stoppers at the base. Translated as "lion", but can also refer to a dog, with magical powers and the ability to repel evil spirits. A pair of shishi traditionally mount guards outside the gates of Shinto temples and Buddhist temples (although temples are more often guarded by Nio protectors). The shishi appears with its mouth open (to scare the demons) or closed (to shelter and keep the good spirits). 4 x 4,8 x 8,3 cm Height.
