TWIRP & CHIRP LOVEBIRDS Salt and Pepper Shakers CERAMIC ARTS STUDIO 1952

LOVEBIRDS "TWIRP" AND "CHIRP" SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS. By Ceramic Arts Studio, Madison WI, USA Designed by Betty Harrington. TWIRP with his eyes closed and CHIRP with her eyes open. They are Porcelain, hand painted with great details, and the twig they are perched on acts as the shaker handle! Both are 4" tall, 2-1/4" wide, 2 deep. Both are in MINT condition , NO chips, cracks, or crazing, NO paint loss or fade, NO scratches or rubs, and NO shine dulling. They have no corks, as CAS shakers did not have corks.

Chirp has his name on the bottom, and both are fully marked'CERAMIC ARTS STUDIO'. Unique and hard to find, they are a very colorful display! The set is shown on page 126, in the 2003 "Ceramic Arts Studio, The Legacy of Betty Harrington". I try my best to be accurate in my descriptions, but I realize that opinions on condition can vary depending on who is looking at an item.
