Peek-a-Boo cookie jar was designed by Ruth Van Tellingen Bendel, an illustrator of children's books. It was made by Regal China, probably in the 1950s. Salt and pepper shakers were made in the same design. Regal China was in Chicago in the 1930s and moved to Antioch, Illinois, in 1940. The company was a division of Royal China and Novelty Co.
