These are a fabulous pair of true Made in Japan Vintage Black Americana Memorabilia salt and pepper shakers dating to the 1950s.

One is a lady and measures approx. Just under 5 inches and she is wearing a pretty outfit with apron and hair kerchief.

She has 3 pour holes. The other shaker is a man and measures approx. 5 inches and he wears a very colorful outfit with green pants and a blue coat and has a pipe in his mouth. He has 2 pour holes.

Both shakers retain their cork stoppers and she is marked JAPAN. Shakers have NO chips, NO cracks , minimal age related wear. Shakers have bright colors and a rich shiny glaze. These shakers are over 60 years old and are from a private collection where they have been lovingly cared for. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find Black Americana items especially in such wonderful condition.
