Rare vintage teak and ceramic Danish peppermill DENBY DIGSMED collaboration
A rare pepper grinder from the Potter's Wheel range of crockery designed by David Yorath. These pieces were made to supplement a few ranges by the British pottery company, Denby. The ceramic heads were made in the UK and the teak bases hewn in Digsmed's workshop in Denmark.

An incredible fusion of international, period aesthetics. Just over 5 inches tall. Ceramic crown in great condition. Gorgeous, sleek, teak body in lovely condition.

The hole is secured by a magnetic disc covering. Innovative design - just remove the magnet to refill, then replace it to keep the peppercorns inside. The grinder mecahnism has siezed up but if you collect these for display that's not much of an issue. If you wish to use it at the dinner table, perhaps the problem can probably be resolved with some oiling.
