1913 Rose O'Neill KEWPIE Bunny Rabbits Porcelain Salt & Pepper S&P Shakers1864
Rose O'Neill Kewpie with Bunny Rabbits Salt and Pepper Shaker S&P Set. They are approximately 2-3/4 inches tall by 2-5/8 inches wide. They are so precious and difficult to find, but do have a few issues that we wish to note. The Kewpie with the Bunny inside the red barrel has the tip of his right ear chipped off which is really hard to realize. Please see our photos and you will note how the right ear is a bit shorter than the left.
There is also a tiny pin-dot circular chip or mark on the top area of the back of his head. He retains both original stickers (one on front and one of the back) with some wear to them. His cork is good with a little piece possibly missing. The openings on the top of his head are nice.
The other Kewpie with the Grey Bunny is in nice condition. He does not have his front sticker anymore and only part of the back sticker. We noticed when we photographed him that there is what might be a tiny hairline crack on the base just under his inner right leg area (photo 11 shows this the best).We also see a tiny circular pin dot chip on the bottom of base near the front left foot area. The cork is good and the openings on the top of his head are nice.
This is quite a beautiful set that we believe is really difficult to find even with the issues noted. Please just let us know if you need any closeup photos as we tried so hard to make sure we included as many angles as possible. They just glisten so much and would definitely be a cherished set to treasure.
